Team
By working with leading research organizations in Korea and abroad, we harness real observation data to create a world where everyone has access to accurate carbon emission and absorption information.

GHG Monitoring Stations
We deliver trusted carbon data from ground stations and satellites, tracking concentrations and fluxes across Korea.
KCP builds on the national inventory framework and goes one step further by incorporating data from actual observation stations. This data is used to estimate carbon emissions and absorption with higher accuracy. Check the map to see the locations of each station.
Members
Working with Korea’s leading research partners, KCP is opening a new chapter in carbon data projects — helping both national and local governments move toward carbon neutrality.
Objective
We aims to establish the scientific reliability of Korea's carbon emission data through a hybrid verification system that combines bottom-up statistics with top-down observational data.
Key Roles
- Modeling: Calculating precise transport pathways of carbon through high-resolution numerical weather modeling and carbon concentration analysis.
- Scientific Inverse Verification: Running inverse models to scientifically calibrate errors between actual observed concentrations and estimated emissions.
- Integrated Quality Control: Enhancing final reliability as national standard-grade data by performing integrated reviews of research outputs from all teams.
